One of the most important ways to document your quilt is by photographing it! A photograph will prove its existence and its condition, should theft or damage occur.
Be sure to get close-up shots of any special features such as the signature of a famous person, an embroidered name or date, or some particularly fine quilting. Save the photographs with the rest of your quilt documentation.
With this thought in mind I would like to encourage you to think about how you take your OWN photos of your quilts? If you have trouble with this or would like to improve the outcome then we have the CLASS for you…. Join us at the Australian Machine Quilting Festival in October this year at the Adelaide Convention Centre. We have 1 class that focuses on taking photos of your quilts and also a little more advanced one on how to tweak those photos using Photoshop Elements!
Until next time…
cheers
Tracey
