CQ News June 2012

Well I am only home for a short time! I’m off again this Thursday to drive to Sydney for Quilt & Craft Expo at Roshill Gardens. This is a trade only event and entry is free. You MUST register before to gain entry, but it is fun to catch up with lots of people and the AMQA Challenge quilts will be hanging & the couple of photos I’ve seen look like there were some amazing entries! Congratulations to all the winners. Great prizes & great publicity in a National Magazine coming your way.

Seeing as I am driving over…. if there is any item that you would especialy like me to bring over to save on postage then please let me know by Tuesday night. I’ll be packing on Wednesday & leaving before daylight on Thursday morning. Especially any Beba’s cutting mats & Renae’s Red Snappers that cost more to post.

This past week I’ve also had notifications that there are some good priced airfares on right now to fly to Adelaide in August to attend Sharon Schamber classes. So if you were still on the fence on attending then go have a look at the great airfares & jump in whilst they are good!

SHARON SCHAMBER - Payson, Arizona

She has had 2 books published by American Quilter’s Society & hosts her own online teaching network at www.sharonschambernetwork.com with thousands of members who learn more everyday from this remarkable lady.

We are extremely fortunate to have her again in Australia to teach for 8 days only. Four of those days will be held in Kadina, Yorke Peninsula with 2 days of Longarm machine quilting demo/lectures and 2 full days of domestic sewing machine hands on classes. Already students have registered from around Australia to attend these classes as they appreciate the rare opportunity being provided.

I would appreciate if you could let all your guild members, customers & friends know about this opportunity in our own back yard! Would hate for them to miss out simply by not being aware that she is here. Please feel free to forward this on to anyone else you think may be interested as well.

Thanks for your help…
