CQ News Feb 2011

My how time flies when you are so busy with life! I do hope everyone had a lovely Christmas & New Year and found some quality time with family & friends. We ended up completely missing out on our annual beach holiday due to a very late harvest. All our crops are now off,  however some are quite damaged & not yet sold. Thankfully we HAD some crops to reap unlike others who have lived through floods, fires & cyclones here in Australia. Our hearts go out to everyone that has suffered unbearable losses in recent times. We are truly blessed to be safe & together!

More activity is happening in our family with our eldest  daughter being accepted into University to commence a Bachelor of Design – Visual Communications & starts in only one week. We have to move her to the city & set her up in a house this coming week. My baby is all grown up & spreading her wings! It does not seem very  long ago that  she worked on Constantine Quilts booth interstate at the age of 12.  Her younger sister did her first show last year at the age of 11yrs!

Constantine Quilts is currently participating in Australia’s FIRST Aussie shop hop!

Gidday Quilters

What is the Gidday Quilters™The Great Aussie Shop Hop™?

This is a promotion designed to showcase our Great Aussie quilting stores and their websites. However it is also a free competition which gives you the chance to play and win some great Quilting related prizes.
The Patch-de-roo icon will be hidden somewhere on every website of participating stores. You need to follow the links from our 'stores' page and then hunt around their websites until you find her. When you find Patch just click on her picture and a little box will pop up for you to enter your registered email address into. This will record your find on your travel card. The more times you find Patch the bigger the prizes you are eligible for.
When you find Patch each time you will also have the opportunity to purchase a specially designed stitchery block by Helen Stubbings of Hugs 'n Kisses. These 6" finished blocks have an Aussie theme in true Hugs 'n Kisses style and include stitchery(redwork). You can choose particular blocks to purchase or get them all. Each are priced at only $2 and once you click on the picture to purchase you will be taken to another site where you will pay by Paypal and immediately download your pattern – how’s that? you don’t even have to leave your bedroom to get instant blocks to stitch your way around Australia. You can read all of the Rules and regulations here and many more questions are answered on our FAQ page.
You can register now by clicking here.
