It’s September already!

I apologise for being missing in action since June…

It has been a hectic 2 1/2 months here on the farm & at Constantine Quilts. Primarily my time has been totally devoted to organising & preparing for our Australian Machine Quilting Festival to be held 1-4th October 2010, at Endeavour College, Mawson Lakes, SA.

We are absolutely thrilled with the amazing & overwhelming response to this with over 1000 classes now sold, a full vendor mall & an amazing quilt show that is being organised by the Australian Machine Quilting Association Inc and being displayed at Festival!

I do have some new products to still put on the website over the next couple of days if I can. But I can show you one that I’ve been excited to get that is on there now.

Up until now all my A1 customers have received and are enjoying their saddle stool that comes standard with the Professional Favourites package. Now anyone & everyone can enjoy an affordable & ergonomic way to sit & quilt at your longarm machines. Great for in the office as well!

Saddle Stool

Saddle Stool

This saddle stool has a contemporary yet functional design which is ideal for longarm quilters. Quilters who have stamina or standing limitations can often benefit by alternating between sitting and standing to reduce or alleviate fatigue and back discomfort.

Height and seat angle adjustability matches the stool support to the correct height for the user. Swivel capability allows the quilter to reach the work area easier.

Footrests provide support and additional stability. Casters allow the quilter to easily move from one end of the quilt to the other.

• Padded Seat

• Pneumatic Seat Height Adjustment

• Locking Center Pivot Tilt

• 360 Degree Swivel

Price: $240.00 plus postage at cost. This will work out to 13kg cubic measurements with Australia Post.

I will have them at Festival in October for anyone that wants to purchase & take home with them.

Don’t forget whilst you are at Festival there are also the fantastic Salem Cutting mats that can travel home with you saving postage.

Salem Cutting Mats -

The fine quality of Salem Cutting Mats is the result of years of testing. It is superior to others in many ways.  It will withstand the hot sun or cold winters.  Never warping or cracking after exposure to severe temperature change, these cutting mats can be rolled up for easy storage, put in the trunk of your car, and under normal room temperature, the "memory" will allow the mat to relax and return to its original flat state.  This versatile translucent mat is tough enough to cut on, yet soft enough to pin into and extends the life your rotary cutting blades.

You can pin patterns and fabrics to the cutting mat to prevent slippage or crawling as you cut.  The red 1" grid lines extend an inch beyond the numbers for reference points when fabric is covering the center portion of the board.  For tracing or designing patterns, place the cutting mat on top of a light table...its wonderful!

Mats are 1/8" thick and although not completely transparent, will allow light to pass through.

The Salem Cutting Mats come in ten popular sizes to cover any type projects. All mats are guaranteed against warping and cracking. Each is printed with 45 and 60 degree angle markings. We have 4 sizes available in Australia at this time.

The large table top ones are ideal for using Renae’s Amazing Rays & Mini-rays as you can pin the tool on the quilt top into the mat to secure whilst drawing out your designs. Only the two smaller sizes are able to be posted. The two larger ones are pickup only.
